A leading Championship football club engaged International Venue Management (IVM) to audit, review and advise on the in-house Food & Beverage operations. IVM was then appointed to give oversight and operational support to the operations throughout a season of record-breaking attendances.
The key objective was to improve the financial performance on matchdays. This required a focus on people, technology, the supply chain and processes that all contributed towards significantly improving the customer journey and the commercial output for the club.
IVM founding partner Angus Houston said, “IVM introduced a structure to matchday operations and, game by game, we have focused on incremental financial growth and improved customer satisfaction.”
One major addition included installing and operating a Fan Zone within the stadium, working closely with the commercial and partnership team. Houston added, “IVM has the knowledge, skill and understanding to deal with the challenges the club faces from a strategic perspective.”
IVM continues to be engaged to offer day-to-day support in F&B operations at the club, including input into exciting new infrastructure plans currently evolving at the club.
