The IVM team visited a Riyadh Sports Hall, the King Fahad Stadium in Riyadh and the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah to assess the current state and future potential of the venues.
IVM founding partner Rob Quick said, “It was enough of an immersion for us to clearly identify where they are, compare them with other international operational standards at other international venues and then make recommendations around where we thought they could develop.”
IVM produced an operational manual for how the different types of venue could run more efficiently.
Quick added, “We’re waiting to be engaged to implement these strategies. It goes from being a consulting project to being a delivery programme. That’s where we really add value. This is where we start to mobilise our collaboration of IVM experts. We will need to redefine supplier contracts, look at the commercial mix, look at the whole Food & Beverage strategy and recommend content for non-matchdays. We can provide an expert for every element of their business.”
